Title: Futuro
Oil on canvas / Size 120×150cm / Year 2006
From a series I have been doing for many years, where I have a fake political party called ‘Futuro’. In the series I do two types of paintings, I do ‘posters’ that are Pro Futuro and others that are Anti Futuro. It is representing the un-knowableness that people go through with the idea of the future and how the future is an unknown quantity and also how people will become in the future. I was trying to express a kind of whimsical idea of what the future will be like. This painting is a is Pro Futuro poster.
This series was exhibited at Shanghai Art Museum 2007.
