Title: New City Construction
Oil on canvas - Size 150×120cm - Year 2007
This is a part of a series of paintings where I was influenced by the typical red/yellow/white or black of the Chinese Propaganda Posters. I lived in Shanghai while the whole city was being rebuilt and next door to me there was a plastic surgery clinic, where people were rebuilding themselves, literally. So that was mostly the inspiration for this.
