Artist’s Description of the original artwork
Title: Shanghai Waterfront 3
Oil on canvas / Size 420×297mm / Year 2002
This work is from the Riverfront/waterfront series. I was using a much lighter tone on this painting, more of a dream or a feeling of predicting the future. It is about the waterfront and how Shanghai has that beautiful melancholic feel about it. Studies are a constant daily process. I was inspired by that chaotic and flurry of images and sensations.
Exhibited in the Yaochao (Yard) Gallery.
