This represents the kafkaesque or Orwellian side of life living in a totalitarian country. I obviously did not state that as it was hung in the Shanghai Art Museum. Basically, everyone is keeping tabs on everyone else, a surreal experience if it has never happened to you. Is it better to appear red than dead?
This painting was exhibited at Shanghai Art Museum in 2007.
